Burst into heat The fish is rowing, nasty meat And a choir of dying birds out at sea Your face starts to twirl A spiraling notion, we unfurl The sunniest flowers in my hand Lay down on the grass Feeling so tired, we digress Something is lazy, and it's not me

The mosquitoes today, they're all trying to say That the blood that fills their guts are spilling Dripping out into the filling Of the cakes, and tiny treats Of the people with their hard beaks pecking, At the souls into the netting of the fabric of our speech Into our aluminum bedsheets Ripping, tearing, relentless shredding, Into the lining of my wallet I don't need sleep, we have these drugs And lightning bugs, filled with freon liquid slugs Filled with freon liquid slugs Filled with freon liquid slugs I just want to go out into the cold Until my lips are strange and bleeding And I'd be fine with kissing you even then As long as you'd be fine with it too The tornadoes today, they're all trying to say That the wind that fills their gusts are blackened, Spinning 'round with fierce attacking Of the towns, and large cities Of the people with their hard beaks pecking, At the souls into the netting of the fabric of my face Into my plastic skin ties Ripping, tearing, relentless shredding, Into the muscles of emotion I don't need food, we have these pills, and lucky thrills All these fucking lucky thrills All these fucking lucky thrills Just two quarters for a thrill I just want to go out into the cold Until my lips are strange and bleeding And I'd be fine with kissing you even then As long as you'd be fine with it too All I ever wanted was a person with a pyramid focus Snowflakes bracing and sliding on the redness of your cheeks Vectors spilling out of eyes and breath that's often filled with flies But all I'll ever get to see is a robot built for you and me

What's going on with you man? I'm feeling a bit sick And I'm wondering how I can get over this It's no secret that my head is an obtuse refuse So just give me the time and a quick little line, and I'll swear it's no (rouse) Just give me the time, yeah I can't worry about you Just give me the time, man I put myself in lieu of you So just give me your damn plan, I'm sure it's a slam man, but probably not. I'd rather just...well....develop in ice Get that shit away from me Get that shit away from me There's a limit in heaven, don't you know? Just give me the time, yeah I can't worry about you Just give me the time, man I put myself in lieu of you

Exiter 03:28
Just give it a chance In time we will become the earth we preach You set the perfect plan with nothing to kick off Where is your time now, where is your time now? Dripping limestone, too: the sculpture that is you Yet, your hands are naive and soft... (...) Why not? Why not? So here we are, melted on a star A star we ignitedBasi

No, no Just because you don't know Just because you don't know (Doesn't) mean it's wrong So what are you gonna do? So what the hell? I don't even know where There's no reason to be that way I knew you would tell me the way I knew you would tell me the way Nightstick Menagerie Nightstick Menagerie I don't think you got it yet I don't think you got it yet No way (Close your eyes and listen) Whatcha doing to me Do you even know what you're doing? So what are you gonna do with me, yeah? The abstract is a nice place to be...No it's not You're gonna see me go

Pink Orb 04:45
I think I harnessed pink I think I harnessed pink Into a small orb inside my head I think I harnessed pink I think I harnessed pink And now there's not a thing to dread I made a nice leaf pie I made a nice leaf pie And I don't even know why I made a nice leaf pie ...Sounds like fall is here again... I may be honest and I may be tarnished But listen here baby, and kill me just maybe, but I know what I'm doing, I know what I'm doing You're the one that's wrong, I promise it's true You're the one that's wrong, I promise it's true You're the one that's wrong, I promise it's true You're the one that's wrong, I promise it's true So what are we to do?

Deciduous 05:02
I am not well, so help me now Try to give me some of your health I traveled distant Traveled deep I am a tree now, watch me weep The cold is here kids, warm your feet Leaves fall from branches, fall from me A hazy sun now Look through grey I furrow my brow on my way I am not well, so help me now Try to give me some of your health I traveled distant Traveled deep I am a tree now, watch me weep

Clockmaker 04:21
There's a problem if you're with me There's a problem if you're happy Clocks are merely changing states Bound to the makers that shake their cases You've finally climbed over the fence, And you won't even make amends You must be gone forever You must be gone forever Because you can always inch towards the other end of a centimeter

I don't know where she has gone, I only know where I've been Trapped in a gaping hole, sick with a twisting spin She floats and she flutters, the cause for more mutters, And I just lack time to consider others The time She must be made of an aluminum twisted grin Because she is a wonderful, skinbag evil twin There's no doubt she's floating, and even if toting The burden I gave you, the burden I gave you The burden So where have we gone to now, both on a separate plow One going over and the other going down I can't say it's dark in here, silly kids and their beer I suppose there is worth in a prospering thought machine Through inebriation your essence of cajun I think the occasional slow moving movements Couldn't be too harmful, but You should be more careful that Your gelatin's fresh and clean So let me see the translucent Skin on your ears and go Through the shears of your words That never seem to be harming me Until I just go home and think about the days that you made for me The days

about

This is a backlogged record, endearingly called a 'Printer Prelude'. I find these records to be dated, of a lesser quality, and not as indicative of my current level of musicianship, however there are some good songs here. This was written long ago, but brought back to life. There is an accompanying podcast explaining this older record, which you can find at basicprinter.com/podcast. Enjoy!

Feeling solitary during the winter of 2011 - 2012, I recorded this with the notions of being quiet, tact, but still very much exuberant and quirky. It is very much a sonic concept album. Many of the lyrical themes are tied together, and are delivered in a way that you can really listen and hear them. I am whispering in your ear, many times. Know that I felt particularly alone, in a dark room, but by no means depressed. Sad, yes. I just think back to this time and think of myself crawling through snow at dusk and sitting in quiet, dark, beige rooms.
